A note from Ervin
The other day I got into an Uber and it made me think about something. How many people do we meet every day who are carrying a book around in their head? Think about a driver who has spent years picking up strangers.
Airport runs. First dates. Job interviews. Hospital visits. Weddings. Breakups. Tourists seeing a city for the first time. People celebrating. People having the worst day of their lives. That driver sees a side of a city most of us never see. There could be a book in that perspective.
Not because every driver has the same story. They don't. But because a profession can give you a window into human behavior that outsiders rarely experience. That's what I'm learning to look for as an author and coach.
I don't just ask, 'What do you do?' I ask, 'What has doing it taught you?' That's where the book might be.
I'm a Founding PocketAuthor, and I'm coaching people to turn lived experience and expertise into books.
